Infographic photos

‌Infographic images allow your customer to understand the most important features and benefits of your product, without the need to read the long description about it. In fact, the following 3-4 images must show the product with all its technical features (eg. length of the yoga mat, non-slip, etc.).

‌Not all product features are obvious just by looking at the picture alone. Of course, you have a dedicated description of the product section in your Amazon listing, but not many people want to waste time reading all the information given. So, these images, if satisfying enough, will allow the shoppers to understand if this is the product they are searching for only by focusing their attention on the most important features and benefits presented.

‌You can optimize your Amazon images with Unique Selling Propositions (USP) and by adding information about the size, material, or other extra details. You need to let your product sell itself not only by describing all the advantages with text but also by making it clear only by visualizing the product. Use descriptive text simple and easy to the eye, without drawing out attention from the product image, remember that the text should never overlap the image.

‌Example: Yoga mat

‌The highlighted benefits of this product are the double color, the non-slip fabric on both sides, and its resistance.

Example: Camping table

‌The highlighted benefits of this product are the materials used, the size, and the easy setup.

Example: Dog bed

‌The highlighted benefits of this product are the comforts it generates, the sizes, and the material.

‌Now, let’s look at examples of additional images without any descriptive text.

As you can see, only from the product image you can’t understand all the additional information about it. You don’t understand what size it is or what material it is. This could lead the shopper to exit the page without thinking about it twice.

‌Other tips for your additional Amazon Product Images are:

  • Use all the images spaces to show off your product as much as you can
  • Show every possible angle of your product by zooming in
  • Use 3D images to show your customers those hidden benefits of your products that cannot be easily seen
  • If your product could solve some specific problems to the customer make sure you include a before and after photo
  • If your product needs to be put together, include instructional pictures
  • To make sure you have high-quality and captivating images hire a professional photographer.

You can click on “Product Image Requirements” to find out more about the rules on additional product images.
