How to generate more reviews on Amazon

How to generate more reviews on Amazon

Amazon Reviews are the key influence of customers buying behaviors, but they also determine the ranking on the search results page. If you have many positive reviews there’s more of a possibility of increasing sales. For this reason, you have to obtain as many positive reviews on your product pages. Of course, you need to incentivize this process in some ways, but you need to do this by following Amazon Guidelines.

‌PRO TIPS

‌Give the sales a little push by spreading awareness

‌As we said before, more reviews generate more sales. So, you need to make sure that your product reaches the right audiences, and to do so you need to give it a little push with promotions, PPC campaigns, and social media.

‌Leverage Social Media

‌Social media is a great way for brands to connect with their customers, it allows them to expand their reach and promote their products to captivate the audience's attention. Social media promotions are a good tool for driving sales, which generally means more reviews. Don’t forget that you can’t request positive reviews but only honest feedback.

‌Use Amazon’s automated follow-up system

‌Amazon has a specific system that sends automatic emails to encourage customers to leave a review for the product they purchased and report any issues they had. Amazon sends only one review request email, but you can send a second one through the Amazon “Request a Review” functionality.

‌Use Amazon’s “Request a Review”

‌On Amazon Seller Center Order Reports, you can find the feature “Request a Review”. This tool allows you to send a follow-up automatic email to the shoppers within 4 to 30 days of the purchase. With this feature, Amazon allows you to send the email only once, but added to the first one sent automatically from Amazon there’s more of a possibility of receiving a review.

Enroll in the Amazon Early Reviewer Program

‌Amazon’s Early Reviewer Program is a tool offered by Amazon that encourages customers to leave a review for new products. In exchange, Amazon will give the shopper a $5 dollar gift card.

‌If you are registered to Brand Registry, you can enroll your new products and receive reviews and feedbacks by paying a fee to Amazon. You need to make sure that your product is good to receive positive reviews because Amazon is not responsible for any bad reviews you receive when using this program.

Enter your product in the Amazon Vine Program

‌Amazon Vine Program can be used both by Sellers and Vendors registered on Amazon Brand Registry.‌ On Amazon Vine Program a Seller provides 30 units of the product that Vine Reviewers will then receive for free, test it, and write a review about it.

‌These Vine reviews will have a badge that will identify them and they will be totally honest, so it can happen that there will also be negative ones.

‌

Review request methods that go against Amazon rules

‌Product inserts

‌Product inserts are one of the easiest ways to ask your customer for a review but can turn out to be very risky. The only thing you need to do is insert a “thank you” card in your product packaging. On the card, you can write a small message with a “thank you” for the purchase and kindly ask them if they can leave a review. If you decide to do this, you need to consider that Amazon has strict rules and this may not be worth the risk.

Facebook Groups

On Facebook, you can find groups created especially for Amazon Reviews. The only thing you have to do is to give a free product in exchange for reviews. You need to be careful though because Amazon easily understands that your reviews are fake if the number of them is a lot higher than the number of purchases. This method is against Amazon guidelines and, if you get caught, you risk your account being blocked.

‌Asking family and friends

‌You may think that asking family and friends for reviews is a good idea but it is actually another risky method, especially if you live in the same household or network. In fact, Amazon can easily realize that the review is coming from the same IP address and location.
