Product ASIN Targeting (PAT)

Product ASIN Targeting (PAT)

What is Product ASIN Targeting?

With Product ASIN Targeting, you can target ASINs, categories, and brands on your PPC campaigns.

ASIN Targeting

The ASIN Targeting feature allows you to target specific ASINs to determine where exactly you want your ad to show up.

To determine which ASINs to use when targeting you should:

  • Find high and low performing ASINs from your Automatic Campaign Report:
  • Identify the highest performing ASINs and target them manually
  • Identify the low-performing ASINs and add them to your negative keywords.
  • Target your own complement/substitute ASINs:
  • Find out which items have been bought more and together, then target them. You can try this method to upsell/cross-sell, but also to try and push away competitors from your product page.
  • Find competitors that are not running any offers:
  • Create your own promotions and then target those competitor’s ASINs.

Category Targeting‌

Category Targeting allows you to target your product’s categories on Amazon. You can target the main category, subcategory, related or substitute category of the product.

‌

This can be useful for:

‌

  • New products that aren’t known yet
  • Products that are more likely bough when searching for their category
  • Generic products that don’t have a specific keyword to help them with sales.

‌

When Category Targeting, you could target the competitors that have lower product ratings than you or a higher price. This way your product will obtain the shopper's attention, as it will probably be considered better.

‌

Brand Targeting

‌

Brand Targeting allows you to target those brands you want your brand to show up for.

‌

The best way to do this is to find out which brands are spending a lot on Sponsored Brands, as they are receiving a lot of traffic, and target them.

‌

Combine different targeting strategies

‌

Your Product Targeting Campaign, to obtain even better results, should use all the targeting methods listed above together.

‌

And, once you’ve run your campaign for a few weeks, you can evaluate the performance of your campaign while using Product Targeting.
